Job FAQs

What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

The intern will take charge of internal CSR animation by organizing awareness events and workshops focused on ethics, environment, and diversity. This involves a creative mix of digital communication and physical event planning to ensure sustainability goals resonate with all staff members. Beyond events, the role includes drafting official policy documents such as CSR charters and Quality of Life at Work (QVT) guidelines. You will actively participate in transverse projects that align the company's operational values with its social and environmental ambitions across different European branches.

Key learning opportunities for this job

You will gain deep expertise in corporate sustainability communication within a fast-paced consulting environment. This includes learning how to translate technical ESG goals into accessible, engaging narratives for a diverse workforce of engineers and consultants. Working in a Franco-German context offers international project management experience, specifically regarding how CSR regulations and cultural expectations differ between these two key European markets. You will also develop skills in policy writing and stakeholder management.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The successful candidate is typically a student in a Bac+4 or Bac+5 program specializing in CSR, Sustainable Development, or Human Resources. Strong writing skills and a proactive mindset are essential for creating impactful communications. Language proficiency is a major differentiator; a minimum B2 level in German is required to effectively coordinate with German teams, while English fluency is considered a significant asset. A genuine passion for social and ecological issues is expected to drive creative initiatives.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

To stand out, emphasize your ability to bridge the gap between technical CSR concepts and creative storytelling. Highlight any experience you have in organizing events or managing social media communities, especially within a corporate or academic setting. Given the company's Franco-German heritage, demonstrating your cross-cultural communication skills and your comfort working in German will be highly valued. Tailor your application to show how you can improve 'Quality of Life at Work' specifically for an engineering-heavy workforce.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

The role focuses heavily on Social and Governance (S & G) aspects, particularly through 'Quality of Life at Work' and inclusion initiatives. You will be instrumental in the company's efforts to maintain its 'Happy Trainees' status and foster a diverse workplace. There is also a strong emphasis on educational engagement. By organizing workshops like the 'Climate Fresk' or ethics training, you help embed decarbonization and ethical business practices into the corporate DNA of thousands of consultants.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

One significant challenge will be driving engagement among busy consultants who often work on-site with clients. Finding creative ways to capture their attention and motivate them to participate in CSR initiatives requires persistence and innovative digital communication strategies. Additionally, you must navigate the bilingual requirements of the role, ensuring that sustainability policies and communications remain consistent and culturally relevant for both French and German employees.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day might begin with a coordination meeting with the CSR service to track progress on transverse projects across Europe. You might spend your morning drafting a new internal charter on inclusion or designing social media posts for the company's LinkedIn page. In the afternoon, you could be facilitating an awareness workshop on environmental practices or meeting with the HR team to brainstorm new well-being actions. The day often concludes with logistical planning for an upcoming internal CSR event or responding to inquiries from local teams.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

This internship provides a high-level overview of CSR strategy in the consulting sector, which is a rapidly growing field due to new European regulations like the CSRD. Excelling here can lead to junior CSR Project Manager positions. You will build a professional network across multiple departments, including HR, Communication, and Management. This visibility within a large, international group like T&S often opens doors for future permanent roles or industry-wide recognition in sustainable consulting.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

Your primary interaction will be with the CSR and HR departments, who will guide your strategic output. You will also collaborate with the marketing and communication teams to ensure brand alignment. External interactions may include CSR service providers or non-profits for partnership initiatives. Internally, you will be a visible point of contact for employees across France and Germany during awareness workshops and corporate events.
