FAQ de l’offre

What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

The successful candidate will take charge of implementing the Information Systems CSR roadmap, focusing on the reduction of the bank's digital footprint. This involves managing the 'Numérique Responsable' (NR) level 2 labeling process and updating internal CSR guidelines for employees regarding digital sobriety and eco-conception. You will also be responsible for tracking and consolidating ESG indicators specific to the IT department to ensure data-driven progress. Beyond the technical scope, you will lead employee engagement events like Digital Cleanup Days and Waste Reduction Week to foster a culture of sustainability across the technical teams.

Key learning opportunities for this job

This apprenticeship offers deep exposure to the Lucie Label framework for responsible digital practices, providing a technical advantage in the growing field of Green IT. You will learn how to measure and manage the carbon footprint of massive IT infrastructures, including datacenters and software development lifecycles. Additionally, you will gain practical experience in change management within a large organization, learning how to translate high-level CSR goals into operational IT requirements. Exposure to digital accessibility and responsible purchasing will broaden your professional toolkit toward holistic ESG management.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in CSR or Sustainable Development and possesses a strong interest in digital technologies. You should be familiar with IT environments and understand the environmental challenges associated with data, hardware, and infrastructure. Soft skills are critical; we look for a dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and writing skills. You must be comfortable coordinating with diverse technical teams and have a proactive approach to proposing 'quick wins' for the sustainability strategy.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

To stand out, demonstrate a specific understanding of Green IT concepts like eco-socio-conception or digital sobriety in your application. Highlighting any previous experience with labels (like Lucie or B Corp) or project management within a large corporate structure will be highly valued. Show your ability to bridge the gap between technical IT requirements and ethical sustainability goals. La Banque Postale values its 'bank like no other' identity, so emphasizing your commitment to financial inclusion and social ethics alongside environmental technicalities will resonate with the hiring team.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

The role specifically targets Digital Responsibility (Numérique Responsable) as a pillar of the bank's broader strategy. This includes reducing GHG emissions from hardware, optimizing energy consumption in datacenters, and ensuring software accessibility for all users. You will also touch upon the circular economy by managing waste reduction initiatives and hardware lifecycle policies. Social impact is equally important, particularly through digital inclusion and aligning IT purchasing with the bank's responsible procurement standards.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

One of the primary challenges will be fostering engagement across a large IT workforce of 1,800 people who may have competing priorities. Translating complex CSR KPIs into meaningful actions for developers and infrastructure engineers requires persistence and pedagogical skills. You might also face the challenge of data collection and consolidation in a complex banking environment, where balancing security requirements with sustainability transparency can be a delicate operation.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day might begin with a coordination meeting with project leads to review the status of the NR labeling project. You might spend your midday drafting a communication piece or a guide on digital eco-gestures to be shared across the internal network. In the afternoon, you could be analyzing sustainability indicators on Excel or brainstorming with the team about the next Digital Cleanup Day event. Your day often involves constant interaction with both the functional CSR leads and technical IT staff to ensure alignment.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

The bank offers a strong environment for professional maturity, allowing an apprentice to take real ownership of a labeling process. Success in this role can lead to specialized sustainability positions within the financial or technology sectors. Given the scale of the group, high-performing apprentices are often well-positioned for internal mobility within the broader La Poste group, which is a French leader in corporate social responsibility and climate action.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

You will work within a specialized team of five, reporting to a functional manager. Your primary internal partners include the IT department workers (DSI) and the Citizen Direction (Direction Citoyenne) which oversees the bank's CSR strategy. Externally, you will likely interact with labeling bodies (like Agence Lucie) and potentially vendors or partners involved in the bank's digital ecosystem and responsible purchasing initiatives.
