What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

The apprentice will be a key support figure in executing the #CELINECares strategy, specifically under the 'Planet' pillar. Primary responsibilities involve monitoring environmental reporting and assisting with carbon footprint mitigation plans across the brand's operations. This role is deeply involved in practical sustainability tools, ensuring data accuracy for strategic decision-making. Beyond data, the mission includes driving product traceability for strategic materials and finished goods. This requires a meticulous approach to mapping supply chains and ensuring transparency from raw material sourcing to the final boutique offering. You will act as a coordinator to ensure that sustainability standards are met throughout the product lifecycle. Lastly, the role involves an internal engagement component. You will help organize key events such as CSR masterclasses and the CSR Summit 2026. This includes animating the network of sustainability ambassadors across different departments to foster a culture of environmental responsibility within the House.

Key learning opportunities for this job

Working within the LVMH ecosystem provides unparalleled exposure to luxury-specific ESG frameworks and industry-leading standards. You will develop technical expertise in environmental reporting and gain hands-on experience with advanced traceability tools used to secure transparent supply chains in the fashion sector. You will also learn how to manage cross-functional sustainability projects in a fast-paced corporate environment. Training occurs through direct mentorship from the CSR Director and Project Managers, offering a deep dive into the complexities of carbon management and circular economy initiatives within a global couture house.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Master 2 degree specializing in Sustainable Development, CSR, or Environmental Management. A prior interest in the fashion or luxury industry is highly valued, particularly if accompanied by an initial understanding of carbon accounting or lifecycle assessment principles. Personal qualities are just as critical as academic background. We look for someone with exemplary organizational skills and a rigorous approach to data. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with various departments, and fluency in French and English is required, while Italian is considered a significant advantage given the industry's supply chain.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

To stand out, demonstrate a specific understanding of the environmental challenges unique to the leather and textile industries. Mentioning your familiarity with supply chain transparency or circularity in the luxury context will show you have researched the sector's current transition beyond general CSR concepts. In your cover letter, highlight a project where you demonstrated analytical rigor or successfully collaborated with diverse stakeholders. Since this role supports the CSR Summit 2026, showcasing your ability to organize events or facilitate workshops could give you a competitive edge over other candidates.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

This role is central to the 'Planet' dimension of the company’s ESG strategy. The focus is heavily weighted toward responsible sourcing and climate change adaptation. You will likely spend significant time on projects that aim to reduce the carbon impact of raw material extraction and manufacturing processes. Additionally, the role focuses on circularity and eco-conception. This involves analyzing how products are designed and used to minimize waste. By working on traceability, you ensure that the company can back up its sustainability claims with verified data, which is a cornerstone of governance and transparency in modern luxury.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

One of the primary challenges is the coordination of cross-functional data. Gathering accurate information from different departments—from leather sourcing to retail—requires persistence and the ability to explain the importance of CSR metrics to teams whose primary focus might be design or sales. Adapting to the fast-paced nature of a high-growth luxury brand can also be demanding. You will need to maintain high standards of precision while juggling multiple deadlines, especially when preparing for major milestones like the CSR Summit or annual reporting cycles.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day might begin with reviewing reporting dashboards to track the progress of carbon reduction initiatives. You might then spend the morning meeting with the sourcing team to discuss the implementation of new traceability software for specific leather collections. In the afternoon, you could switch to a more creative and communicative mode, drafting content for a CSR masterclass or coordinating logistics with the ambassador network. The day often ends with collaborative sessions with the CSR Managers to align on long-term strategy and upcoming environmental audits.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

An apprenticeship at CELINE serves as a prestigious entry point into the LVMH Group, which offers vast internal mobility opportunities in sustainability. Successful candidates often move into permanent Junior CSR Project Manager or Sustainable Sourcing roles within the house or the wider group. You will build a high-level professional network across various luxury functions. The experience of contributing to a global CSR Summit provides high visibility, demonstrating your ability to handle strategic projects and making you a strong candidate for leadership roles in sustainable fashion.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

You will report directly to the CSR Director and work closely with two Project Managers. Beyond the immediate team, your most frequent interactions will be with the Sourcing and Production departments to manage material traceability and environmental impact data. External stakeholders may include sustainability consultants and service providers for carbon tracking tools. Internally, you will also engage with 'CSR Ambassadors' across different business units, helping them integrate sustainable practices into their specific roles and ensuring brand-wide alignment with the #CELINECares vision.
