You will own the day-to-day delivery of key initiatives within The Conduit’s Solutions Agenda, running several workstreams at once across timelines, budgets, convenings and partners. Alongside delivery, you will lead impact design and measurement, from baselining to reporting, and help give the agenda a clear, consistent narrative.

The Conduit exists to scale solutions to social, environmental and economic challenges, and this role sits at the centre of that mission. You will work on themes such as AI for Good, impact leadership and democracy and justice, turning ideas into credible programmes with measurable results. It is a chance to influence how a global convener shows its impact on the world stage.

This suits someone who has delivered impact programmes in the non-profit or sustainability space, communicates clearly with funders and policy makers, and wants a 13-month role in London with real strategic exposure.

Job FAQs

What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

You will lead key workstreams within The Conduit's Solutions Agenda, from design and delivery to impact measurement and reporting. That includes delivering elements of existing initiatives such as AI for Good, the Future of Impact Leadership and Reimagining Democracy & Justice, while managing timelines, resources, convenings and strategic partners. You will also help shape the Solutions Agenda as a platform for global influence, build a consistent narrative across initiatives, and watch for funding, policy and partnership opportunities that extend The Conduit's reach.

Key learning opportunities for this job

This role is a chance to learn end-to-end impact programme management inside a global convening organisation. You will gain hands-on experience in impact baselining, data collection and reporting across several cross-sector initiatives. Working closely with the Senior Director, Impact Programmes and the Chief Engagement Officer, you will also see how strategy, partnerships and thought leadership fit together at senior level.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The ideal candidate has proven experience leading programme or initiative delivery, including budget management, ideally in the social impact, non-profit or sustainability sectors. You can run several complex workstreams at once and thrive in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, along with experience producing thought leadership such as reports, articles or event content. Familiarity with social justice, climate action or global development topics and knowledge of the UK or global impact ecosystem are expected. Monitoring, evaluation and learning, policy advocacy or event planning experience is a plus.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

Highlight concrete examples where you translated a broad vision into measurable outcomes, with budgets, timelines and results. Show that you can work with funders, NGOs, corporate partners and policy makers, and that you follow emerging trends and funding opportunities. Samples of your writing, such as reports or event content, will help, as will a clear point of view on the topics The Conduit works on. Mention the 13-month fixed-term nature of the role and your availability so the team can plan the handover.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

The focus is on social and environmental impact programmes rather than the club's day-to-day operations. You will work on initiatives that bring together members and partners around solutions to major global challenges, and on measuring what those initiatives achieve. A significant part of the role is also positioning The Conduit as a driver of systems-level change, including partnership proposals that create credible products and potential revenue.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

Managing several workstreams across many stakeholders at once is the main challenge, especially when priorities shift quickly. You will need to keep funders, partners and internal teams aligned on timelines and expectations. Because this is a maternity cover, you will also need to get up to speed fast on existing initiatives and keep delivery on track, while still making your own mark on the Solutions Agenda.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day could start with checking progress on programme timelines and resources across your workstreams, followed by calls with strategic partners or funders. You might spend part of the day on impact measurement, reviewing data and drafting reports. Other days could be devoted to preparing convenings, writing content for events or publications, or syncing with the Senior Director, Impact Programmes on strategy and emerging opportunities.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

Although the contract is fixed-term, the role offers visibility on the global stage and direct exposure to senior leaders, funders and a worldwide community of changemakers. It is a strong springboard for senior impact, programme or partnership roles in the social impact sector. You will build a portfolio spanning programme delivery, measurement and thought leadership, which is valuable across NGOs, foundations and mission-driven businesses.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

Internally, you will work with the Senior Director, Impact Programmes and the Chief Engagement Officer, as well as teams across the organisation who help embed the Solutions Agenda. Externally, expect to engage with funders, NGOs, corporate partners, policy makers and community groups, plus the members of The Conduit's global community.
