Analista de Risco - ESG

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and continuous update of the bank's ESG risk management framework and policies. This involves identifying and assessing physical and transition risks, and evaluating how they correlate with traditional financial risks. Additionally, you will gather, validate, and process ESG data to ensure high standards of data quality and traceability. This foundational data work supports the development of risk metrics, scenario analysis, and internal management reports, while contributing key data points to the annual Sustainability Report. Finally, keeping a close eye on evolving regulatory requirements is essential. You will assist in aligning bank operations with national and European directives, coordinating directly with other departments across the wider corporate group to execute strategic ESG action plans.

This position offers a strong learning curve in climate risk assessment and banking regulations like the CSRD and EU Taxonomy. You will gain deep technical knowledge regarding how physical risks like extreme weather and transition risks affect banking portfolios. Working within an established Risk Direction will expose you to sophisticated data management workflows, scenario analysis methodologies, and corporate governance practices, building a competitive profile at the intersection of finance and sustainability.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Economics, Management, Finance, Statistics, or Environmental Sciences. A blend of quantitative skills and environmental awareness is highly valued for navigating technical risk data. Having some initial experience or internships in banking risk management, ESG consulting, or auditing will make an application stand out. Proficiency in advanced Excel and English is essential.

To stand out, highlight any academic or practical experience involving data manipulation or financial modeling. If you have completed specific coursework or projects related to green finance, highlight this in your resume. The role centers heavily on integrating climate and environmental risks into the bank's core credit and operational risk models. A typical day might begin with reviewing regulatory updates and updating the internal ESG risk ledger. You might then clean and validate environmental data sets extracted from client portfolios. In the afternoon, you could participate in cross-functional meetings with the compliance or corporate strategy teams, refining scenario analysis metrics and drafting components for management reports.

Starting in this junior-to-mid capacity provides an excellent foundation to advance into a senior risk strategist role or a dedicated ESG compliance officer within the group. As banking regulations tighten, professionals with hands-on experience in ESG risk frameworks are increasingly sought after for high-visibility management positions and strategic steering roles.

You will collaborate closely with internal colleagues within the Risk Department, reporting progress directly to risk managers and sustainability coordinators. Externally, you will interface regularly with compliance officers, data engineers, and ESG representatives across different business units of the CTT Group to align risk mitigation strategies.
