You will take ownership of the global ESG data pipeline, transitioning the group from manual, annual tracking to a robust, quarterly automated reporting system. This involves overseeing the selection and implementation of a dedicated ESG data platform while ensuring every station across the network contributes high-quality environmental metrics. Your day-to-day focuses on turning raw numbers into actionable intelligence through advanced visualization and rigorous data governance.

Working for a global leader in aviation services, your impact is measured by the company’s ability to navigate complex regulations like CSRD and ISSB. By bridging the gap between technical IT infrastructure and sustainability strategy, you provide the analytical backbone needed to decarbonize air cargo and ground operations. This role transforms opaque supply chain data into a transparent roadmap for the aviation industry’s green transition.

This suits someone who possesses a strong STEM background and finds joy in building order out of fragmented datasets. You should be a communicative problem-solver who enjoys working across diverse cultures and technical functions.

FAQ del ruolo

What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

The primary mission centers on the architectural integrity of the Group's ESG data. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end data lifecycle, from coordinating with primary data owners at local stations to ensuring the final outputs meet international standards like GRI and ISSB. A major goal is the migration from manual spreadsheets to a centralized, automated ESG data platform that serves the entire global network. Beyond collection, you will own the analytical layer, developing interactive PowerBI dashboards that translate environmental metrics into business insights. You will also establish formal data governance policies to ensure long-term reliability and support the production of the annual sustainability report for the Singapore Exchange and other global regulators.

Key learning opportunities for this job

This role offers an unparalleled deep dive into the global regulatory landscape, specifically regarding CSRD, ISSB, and SGX requirements. You will gain hands-on experience in large-scale digital transformation by leading the selection and rollout of a specialized ESG software solution across a multinational enterprise. Furthermore, you will sharpen your skills in carbon accounting and environmental performance tracking within the aviation sector. Exposure to complex logistics and food solution workflows will provide a unique perspective on how sustainability data intersects with massive operational infrastructure and global trade routes.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The ideal candidate holds a degree in a STEM field or a data-heavy discipline like Finance or Statistics. You should demonstrate professional proficiency in PowerBI or similar business intelligence tools and have a track record of managing complex datasets without losing sight of the narrative they tell. Soft skills are equally vital; you need the patience and empathy required to support users through technical changes. A collaborative mindset is essential for working across 27 countries, where data maturity levels may vary significantly between business units.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

Focus your application on specific examples of where you have automated a previously manual process. SATS is looking for someone who can drive efficiency, so demonstrating your ability to build data integrations or improve workflow accuracy will be highly valued. Research the specific reporting requirements for listed companies in Singapore (SGX) and the evolving ISSB standards. Mentioning how you stay current with these frameworks shows you are ready to hit the ground running in a highly regulated environment.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

The role focuses heavily on environmental transparency and decarbonization tracking. In the aviation industry, Scope 1 and 2 emissions from ground handling and energy use in catering centers are critical metrics that require precise monitoring to meet net-zero targets. You will also likely touch upon circularity and waste management within the Food Solutions business. By providing granular data, you enable the company to measure the success of waste reduction initiatives and sustainable sourcing across its global kitchen network.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

The most significant challenge will be data fragmentation. With over 200 stations globally, ensuring consistent data quality and timely reporting from diverse regions with varying levels of digital maturity requires persistence and strong change management skills. Additionally, you will need to manage the technical transition of moving to a new platform without disrupting ongoing reporting cycles. Balancing the immediate needs of annual compliance with the long-term goal of total automation will require careful project management and stakeholder alignment.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day might begin with a coordination meeting with the Technology team to discuss the progress of the ESG platform implementation. Mid-morning could be spent reviewing data submissions from regional stations, identifying anomalies in energy consumption or waste figures, and following up with data owners. Afternoons are often dedicated to dashboard development or creating analytical reports for senior leadership. You might wrap up the day by researching new ESG reporting updates to ensure the group's data governance policy remains aligned with international best practices.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

Given the rising importance of ESG compliance globally, this role positions you as a strategic expert at the intersection of data and sustainability. Success here could lead to senior management roles within the Global Sustainability team or specialized leadership positions in ESG Digital Transformation. The global nature of SATS also provides opportunities for international exposure, potentially leading projects that span across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, building a high-profile internal reputation.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

You will interact daily with the Global Sustainability team and the Technology (IT) department to align data strategy with corporate goals. These internal partnerships are the foundation of the role's success. External stakeholders include ESG software vendors and auditors who verify the company's disclosures. You will also act as a bridge to regional business unit managers and data owners, providing them with the tools and training needed to report accurately.
