As the central figure for sustainability at Quantexa, you will own the end-to-end coordination of the company’s global ESG data and reporting framework. This involves hands-on management of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, validating carbon emissions across all scopes, and responding to complex investor and customer due diligence requests. You will translate high-level environmental commitments into actionable internal programs, working closely with operations and procurement to ensure sustainability is woven into the business fabric.

This role is critical because it bridges the gap between software innovation and environmental accountability. In a data-driven firm, you will leverage contextual intelligence to refine the company’s carbon footprint, directly impacting how a global tech leader manages its digital and physical energy footprint. Your work ensures that as the company scales its AI solutions, it does so with a transparent and validated ESG performance that meets rigorous international standards.

This suits someone who thrives on data accuracy and organizational cross-functionality. You should have a solid foundation in carbon accounting and environmental legislation, paired with the communication skills to influence stakeholders across IT, finance, and legal teams.

FAQ de l’offre

What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

The primary mission involves driving the global sustainability strategy by translating high-level commitments into measurable outcomes. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of ESG reporting, including the Annual ESG Responsibility Report, CDP submissions, and EcoVadis assessments. This includes collecting and validating Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data to produce accurate carbon footprint reports. Beyond reporting, you will maintain the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System across Spain and the UK, expanding its scope globally over time. You will also manage internal audits, legal registers, and coordinate with procurement to assess supplier sustainability performance, ensuring that ESG considerations are embedded into every business decision from facilities management to software development.

Key learning opportunities for this job

This role offers significant exposure to the intersection of AI and ESG, allowing you to see how a high-growth technology firm manages its digital footprint. You will gain deep expertise in emerging regulations like CSRD, ISSB, and TCFD, moving beyond simple data collection to strategic regulatory preparedness. Additionally, the position provides a unique chance to lead the global expansion of ISO 14001, offering hands-on experience in scaling an environmental management system across multiple international jurisdictions. Mentorship from the Head of Information Security and the Business Continuity Manager will also broaden your understanding of operational resilience and risk management.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The ideal candidate brings approximately three years of professional experience in sustainability or environmental management, specifically with a strong grasp of GHG accounting and ISO standards. Technical proficiency in Excel is essential for data validation and trend analysis, as you will be managing complex datasets from diverse global offices. Beyond technical skills, the company looks for a multidisciplinary communicator who can engage with Legal, Finance, and IT teams with equal ease. Knowledge of climate risk and net-zero strategies is highly valued, particularly if you understand the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and how to apply it in a fast-paced software environment.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

To stand out, emphasize your experience with data-driven sustainability. Since Quantexa is a Decision Intelligence company, demonstrating how you use data to drive decisions—rather than just for passive reporting—will resonate with their culture. Be specific about your experience with ISO 14001 audits or Scope 3 mapping. Prepare to discuss how you have navigated cross-functional stakeholder management in previous roles. The ability to show you can influence departments like Procurement or Facilities to adopt greener practices without having direct authority over them is a key success factor for this specific position.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

The focus is heavily weighted toward environmental governance and carbon transparency. Given the nature of a software company, the role will likely concentrate on the 'digital carbon footprint,' including energy consumption in offices and the environmental performance of the supply chain and data centers. There is also a significant emphasis on compliance and customer assurance. As a B2B provider, Quantexa must satisfy the ESG requirements of its major clients in financial services and government, making the response to customer due diligence and investor requests a high-priority sustainability activity.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

One of the primary challenges will be data fragmentation. Coordinating sustainability initiatives across global functions like Information Security, Finance, and Facilities requires meticulous tracking to ensure data consistency for reporting obligations like SECR and CDP. You may also face the challenge of embedding sustainability into a tech-first culture where rapid scaling is the priority. Finding ways to automate reporting and integrate ESG metrics into existing business workflows without adding excessive friction will be a key hurdle for the analyst to overcome.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day might begin with reviewing electricity and travel data to update internal sustainability dashboards, followed by a meeting with the Procurement team to discuss new supplier ESG assessments. You could spend the afternoon drafting sections of the annual ESG report or preparing a briefing for the Executive Leadership team. You will likely interact with the Business Continuity Manager to align environmental risks with broader operational resilience. The day might end with a deep dive into emerging EU or UK sustainability legislation to ensure the Spanish and London offices remain compliant with evolving disclosure rules.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

As the first dedicated analyst in this space, there is a clear path toward senior sustainability leadership as the function matures. The role is designed to expand, with the successful candidate overseeing the global rollout of environmental systems to new regions like Singapore, the UAE, and the US. High visibility with the Executive Leadership and functional heads provides a platform for internal mobility and strategic influence. Success in this role could lead to becoming the company's primary ESG strategist, shaping the long-term path toward Net Zero and influencing product-level sustainability initiatives.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

You will report to the Business Continuity and Operational Resilience Manager, with functional oversight from the Head of Information Security. This placement highlights the role's importance in risk management and corporate governance. External stakeholders include investors and major enterprise customers who require detailed ESG disclosures. Internally, you will be a central hub interacting with Facilities for office energy management, Finance for carbon reporting, and Procurement for supply chain sustainability, acting as the firm's subject matter expert.
