As the orchestrator of Reckitt’s global environmental performance, you will lead the reporting team across India and the UK. You will take full ownership of the systems and data pipelines that track energy, water, waste, and carbon metrics across more than 50 manufacturing sites worldwide. Your primary focus is ensuring that every data point translates into actionable insights for the executive leadership while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy for external disclosure.

This role is critical because it bridges the gap between industrial operations and Reckitt’s ambitious 2030 climate goals. By managing the Enablon database and bespoke projection tools, you provide the empirical backbone for the company’s sustainability strategy, ensuring that progress toward a healthier planet is transparent and verifiable. You will be the technical lead during external audits, turning raw utility data into a credible narrative of corporate responsibility.

This suits someone who possesses a rigorous analytical mindset and a background in accounting or data science. You should be a confident communicator capable of explaining complex data trends to Senior Vice Presidents.

What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

The primary mission is to oversee the global environmental reporting function, ensuring that data from various business units is accurate, timely, and compliant with international standards. You will manage the entire lifecycle of environmental KPIs, from site-level collection in Enablon to high-level reporting for the annual report. Beyond data hygiene, you will act as a strategic advisor to the Global Head of Environment. This involves interpreting site performance, forecasting future progress against public targets using the bespoke Glidepath Tool, and leading the internal and external assurance processes to validate Reckitt’s environmental disclosures.

Key learning opportunities for this job

You will gain deep expertise in enterprise-level sustainability software, specifically becoming a power user of Enablon and Power BI for environmental management. The role offers a unique vantage point on how a global FMCG giant navigates the transition to a low-carbon economy. Exposure to global reporting frameworks such as TCFD, SASB, CDP, and the GHG Protocol will be a daily reality. You will also develop high-stakes communication skills by presenting technical performance data to executive-level leadership and external auditors.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting or data analytics and brings at least five years of experience in managing large, complex data sets. While a background in sustainability is a significant advantage, the priority is a candidate with robust analytical leadership skills and the ability to coordinate global teams. Technical proficiency in SAP, Enablon, and Excel is crucial, alongside a project-management mindset. We look for someone who is detail-oriented enough to catch errors at the site level but strategic enough to understand how those numbers impact the company’s investor ratings.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

Focus your application on your ability to manage data integrity across diverse geographies. Highlight specific instances where you have used data to influence senior management decisions or where you have successfully navigated a complex external audit process. Since Reckitt values 'relentless pursuit,' demonstrate your proactive approach to system optimization. If you have experience with the FMCG sector or specific environmental frameworks like the GHG Protocol, ensure these are prominent, as they provide the context for the data you will be managing.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

The role is laser-focused on the operational footprint of Reckitt’s manufacturing sites. You will be the guardian of data related to energy efficiency, water stewardship, waste reduction, and carbon emissions (Scope 1 and 2). You will also play a key role in ESG transparency. By ensuring that Reckitt’s public claims are backed by rigorous data, you directly support the company’s standing in investor indices like the DJSI and CDP, which are vital for the brand's long-term sustainability reputation.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

One of the primary challenges is data consistency across 50+ manufacturing sites with varying levels of technical maturity. You will need to influence site-level engineers and EHS professionals to prioritize data accuracy alongside their operational duties. Additionally, the dynamic regulatory landscape means that reporting requirements are constantly shifting. Keeping Reckitt’s systems updated to meet new standards while providing real-time insights to leadership during high-pressure reporting cycles requires exceptional resilience and time management.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day might begin with reviewing data uploads from regional teams, followed by a meeting with IT to optimize the Enablon database architecture. You might spend the afternoon developing a Power BI dashboard to visualize water-stressed sites for a Senior Vice President. You will likely spend time troubleshooting data discrepancies with site leads or providing virtual training sessions. The day often concludes with strategic planning for the upcoming annual report cycle or preparing documentation for external assurance providers.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

There is significant room for lateral and upward mobility within the Global Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) or Corporate Affairs departments. Success in this role could lead to a Global Head of Reporting position or a strategic sustainability leadership role. Because this role interacts with cross-functional stakeholders in finance, human rights, and supply chain, it serves as an excellent platform for someone looking to broaden their corporate sustainability career into strategy-setting or regulatory affairs.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

You will regularly interact with Regional Environmental Managers and site-level EHS professionals who provide the raw data. At the corporate level, your key partner is the Global Head of Environment and members of the Senior Leadership Team. External stakeholders include third-party auditors, ESG rating agencies, and NGO partners. You will also collaborate with internal teams in IT, Finance, and Corporate Communications to ensure that environmental data is integrated into the broader business narrative.
