Stage - Chef.fe de projet RSE / Sustainability

VivaTech • France • Added on Oct 5, 2026
Apply →

You will support the CSR team at VivaTech by running concrete projects end to end: coordinating contributors, following up with stakeholders, preparing materials and reporting on what each action achieved. The projects include a programme for impact entrepreneurs, a 400 m² Impact Village at the event and a Sustainability Executive Summit.

The role puts sustainability at the heart of Europe’s biggest tech and startup event. You help give visibility to impact startups and responsible tech, and you help tell the story of VivaTech’s own commitments, so that the event becomes a platform for change rather than just a showcase.

This suits someone who is finishing a Master’s in sustainability, CSR or impact innovation, loves coordinating people and projects, and wants a six-month start in Paris from January 2027.

Job FAQs

What are the main missions and responsibilities of this role?

You will help run concrete projects within VivaTech's CSR team, from preparation to operational roll-out. That includes following stakeholders, coordinating contributors, preparing materials and drafting the review of each action. Examples include Impact Builders, a support programme for nine impact entrepreneurs, the Impact Village, a 400 m² space with a stage and four days of programming, and Viva+ with its Sustainability Executive Summit. You will also help promote these commitments through social media, newsletters and event content, and support relations with startups, speakers and partners.

Key learning opportunities for this job

This internship offers a complete experience in project management, ecosystem coordination, communication and impact measurement, in an international, event-driven setting. You will see how a major tech event builds a sustainability programme from the inside, and learn how to move quickly from idea to delivery with real autonomy.

How does the ideal candidate look like (experience, skills)?

The team looks for a Master's-level student (business school, engineering school, political science or university) focused on sustainable development, CSR or impact innovation, ideally with more than a year of experience. You should be structured and autonomous, comfortable with cross-functional project management, and at ease with people and digital collaboration tools. A strong interest in new technologies, responsible innovation and societal issues is expected.

Advice to stand out and make a successful application

Show concrete project experience where you coordinated several people or partners, even in student associations or events. Explain why responsible technology matters to you and how you would help VivaTech show impact startups. Samples of communication work, such as newsletters or social content, will help. The start date is 4 January 2027, so mention your availability for the full six months.

What aspects of the company's sustainability is this role likely to focus on?

The role focuses on impact innovation and responsible tech: supporting impact entrepreneurs, giving them visibility at the event and growing a community of sustainability leaders. It also covers the communication of VivaTech's own commitments to its stakeholders, in a company that holds an ISO 20121 certification for sustainable events.

What are the main challenges someone in this role might face?

The main challenge is juggling several projects and many stakeholders at once, especially as the event approaches and the pace increases. You will need to stay organised, keep contributors and partners aligned on timelines, and deliver reliable materials while the team is small and responsibilities are broad.

How could a typical day look like for someone in this position?

A typical day could include a check-in with the team on programme progress, followed by coordination with startups or speakers and preparation of slides and documents. Other moments might be spent writing content for newsletters and social media, or preparing the Impact Village programming. Frequent remote work is possible, with the office in Paris.

What are the opportunities for professional growth and development in this role?

As an intern you get real responsibility and direct exposure to startups, large corporates and investors, which is rare early in a career. The experience is a strong springboard towards CSR, impact, partnerships or event project roles, and the network built during the event can open doors well beyond the internship.

The main stakeholders you might be interacting with

Internally, you will work with the Sustainability team, plus colleagues in ecosystem and marketing. Externally, expect to interact with impact startups, speakers, partners and sponsors, as well as the members of the Viva+ community of sustainability leaders.
