# Sustainability Officer

As a Sustainability Officer within the Sustainability Standards & Integration team, you will serve as the essential bridge between high-level ESG strategy and daily investment operations. You will spend your time translating complex global standards and emerging regulations into actionable frameworks that investment teams can use to screen and manage high-impact deals. Your work ensures that every euro committed follows rigorous sustainability criteria from initial due diligence through to long-term monitoring.

This role is critical because it empowers a major development bank to manage the complex risks inherent in emerging markets across energy, agribusiness, and finance. By refining how the bank identifies and mitigates environmental and social risks, you directly enable **impactful private sector growth** that addresses inequality and climate action in over 80 developing nations. It is a rare chance to influence a multibillion-euro portfolio with a purely mission-driven mandate.

This suits someone who possesses a deep technical understanding of IFC Performance Standards and OECD Guidelines but can communicate these concepts pragmatically to non-specialist investment professionals.
